Background: Ari was raised in a small village outside of Magnolia. She was born with green eyes like her mother, until a large storm went through the area. Ari was trapped outside during the thunderstorm and was struck by lightning, somehow surviving it. She then had yellow eyes matching the color of the lightning that hit her. Even though she was hit by lightning, she was able to use Thunder magic after that. It took her a while, but she was able to teach herself how to use God Slayer magic by watching those who

could use it, and by being outside during storms. She ended up befriending Mihina and Duncan Vellton when she was out traveling around. They all became close until it was time for the group to go their seperate ways. Ari was lucky enough to meet Laxus, a Fairy Tail wizard, who helped her get into the guild and took her under his wing. She then took over the post of Co-Leader of the Thunder God Tribe.
